You’re 30! Surprise! You’re going to LA tomorrow for five days, you’re already packed! And by the way, you have a ticket to go see The Price is Right!
Tiffany sure knows how to make a surprise… the show taped two hours after our plane arrived, and after driving across L.A. and miraculously making it just in time to be last in line, I got to see the Price is Right, live! That was pretty amazing. The show aired today, and I managed to creep into the scene a few times.
The World just got a tiny bit smaller for Lola.
After much excitement watching Snickers chase his ball countless times – to the point that her arm waving practically has her hovering above the ground – Lola decides she wants the ball. Very badly. So badly that she willed herself in its general direction, gave a pull with her arms, then a push with her legs, and had traversed about a foot in order to connect one extended finger on one extended arm to a drool covered red ball.
Touch!
She even repeated her stunt for mommy after being whisked upstairs and placed on the floor with ball in sight.
Lola cannot resist the allure of the keyboard. Having said that, here is her first post to the internet:

fv I am excited to say that our baby has arrived, six days early!
Lola Adalyne Christou was born at 12:26 am on Nov 3 in the comfort of a birth pool in our living room. She is 7 pounds 4 ounces and is in perfect condition! Both Lola and Tiffany are in good spirits and resting.
Here is a photo of Snickers trying to learn more about Lola:
If we were to name our baby Henry or Henrietta*, would we call the process of getting ready for baby’s arrival “Preparation H” ?
*Note: these names are not actually on our short list.
The good folks at Readers Digest mailed to inform me that I am a finalist in their sweepstakes! Isn’t that nice of them to go through all the work, and all I ever had to do was exist, reside at the address where they mailed me, and open the mail. Since they are so accommodating, I am more than sure that they gave me good odds to win also.
I’m sure that junior hopes I win, because thats how much a starter home will cost in about twenty years.
In the days running up to Mothers Day, I have been reflecting on when Tiffany and I were getting married. I recall thinking at the time of all the things that Tiffany would do in the interests of our newly formed family entity (such as take care of me), and then thinking “wow, that really is the greatest gift you can give someone”. And to the present time, Tiffany has truly been an amazing wife.
Looking ahead from today, I can’t help but think how amazing a mother Tiffany will become this November, based on everything she has done for our family already. So happy maternity-mothers day Tiffany, I love you!
