I got to see Stomp and Lord of the Dance last month.  Both containing addictive percussive beats.  Lord of the Dance was great, and was what I was expecting instead of Celtic Tiger a few months ago.  And Stomp was something I wanted to see since seeing the Blue Man Group perform.  It was everything I was hoping for!

I got two 50/50 tickets and the prize was $23,000.
My tickets:
  • 1244173
  • 1244174

Winning ticket:

  • 1244168

I laughed for two minutes!  The game was good, and a shootout win is always exciting.

One or more people seem to think they have my email address.  And they have shared their email address with their friends.  So I am getting Other People’s Email, and I am sick of it, so I am going to share them with you!

Subject: Happy New Year!

Allo la famille! Bonne Annee!
I’ve been having a blast here in Winterpeg, though it’s not very wintery. People are actually complaining that it’s too mild here, but I’m finding the weather great. It’s been hovering below 0 and that’s just fine by me. We spent New Year’s at a CMU party, and went to the fireworkds at The Forks at midnight, which was really fun. I also went skiing for the first time a few days ago at Frost Fire "Mountain" in North Dakota. It;s about the size of Mount Royal, so it’s more like a bump, but it was challenging enough for me and I spent a greater part of the day on my bum, for which I am paying now. No major injuries except a little pull in my arm, but it’s feeling a lot better today.
I love you all and hope you had a great week.
Bisous, Julia

Today we got to do some skating at Rexall Place!  It was neat to see the view from the ice.  It looks different than what I thought (it actually looks smaller at ice level) but was very fun.

Last weekend, much to my suprise, Shaw Cable changed all the channels.  Instead of my favourite Sunday night cartoons on Fox, I got two hours of Life Network programming.  Stupid Shaw — I had to waste my time downloading the shows I missed!

This cracks me up — the audio is a clip from a recent episode of Family Guy

Yesterday we saw Michael Flatley’s Celtic Tiger show.  While it was enjoyable, it should have been called "The Michael Flatley Irish Variety Hour Followed By A Tribute to America Hour"  The dancing and all was entertaining, but a lot of it could have been any tap dance show for the most part.  It also contained massive doses of American Patriotism in the second act, which must go over well in the States.

I guess its my fault for not seeing Riverdance, where I presume there would have been more Irish Dancing on show.

With a month of twenty and thirty below tempratures, and shovelling snow off the driveway, there was quite the collection of snow building up!  Well finally there is some warm weather, so I figured I might as well enjoy it!  Here is my internet snow fort.  The internet part is by virtue that I used my wireless internet connection to send an email while sitting inside of it.
