Sunday, January 18, 2015, Sherwood Park Boston Pizza

We had a Sunday lunch with the in-laws at Boston Pizza. I’d already had pizza the day before, and didn’t feel like having another one so soon. I like the variety on their menu, but wasn’t craving anything in particular. I’d never tried their pizzaburger, so it seemed like a good time to deal with that curiosity. Its a burger, it has BP’s pizza dough, and bacon. All good things, right? Oh and pepperoni. Because pizza.

It’s a hot, greasy mess. I couldn’t pick it up, and because it is encased, it cools off very slowly. That’s just as well, because it was really greasy, and it would have fallen apart if I held it. The bacon was a nice touch, but pepperoni and burgers don’t mix on my opinion.

Technically, its a burger, so it goes on the ol’ tracker. I actually couldn’t finish the thing. I don’t plan on ordering that ever again, but hey, now I know. Right?

It is the first week back from holiday break, and fittingly, five of us headed out to Five Guys for lunch today.

Five Guys Burgers and Fries, South Edmonton

Five Guys Burger

Bacon Burger with lettuce, pickles, ketchup and bbq sauce. My regular burger build.

The salted peanuts are always a great touch while waiting for your order, and the bacon was magically crispy (as expected). Definitely something uplifting to get through that first week back!

The last day before the end of the Christmas break. It has dropped to -25C with a windchill. May as well have a burger somewhere nearby!

Smashburger Sherwood Park

Big Bacon Cheeseburger with BBQ Sauce, and Smash Fries (rosemary and salty goodness)

I forgot to take a photo before devouring it. It may have been the second best burger I’ve had there (the grand opening was the best, when everything was calibrated for the owner).

It is the dawn of a new year, and also happens to be a minor Metric Anniversary too!

Married for 4500 days!

It’s kind of a neat date alignment. I wonder how often that happens…

I love you Tiffany

As an extra bonus, I present you with a relevant Throwback Thursday photo:
